Pre-Arrival

Bookings/enquiries can be made Online on our website or by phone/email with live availability on www.theroostretreats.co.uk.
The nearest shop is in the village of Mitcheldean, 0.9 miles or a fifteen minute walk away.
The nearest bus stop is one mile away.
The nearest train station is Gloucester or Cheltenham – 12.8 miles, 30 minutes away.
Cinderford Dial-a-Ride offers accessible transport locally and their office is open 0900 to 1630 weekdays Tel 01594 843809.
We can accept shopping deliveries from major supermarkets etc by arrangement.

Jubilee Road is a small country lane, directly off the A4136. The cottage is 3⁄4 mile down the road.
The cottage has a flat driveway, directly outside the cottage and large enough for one vehicle. The lane is narrow at this point but it’s best to reverse into your parking space. For easier parking we recommend you use the main car park situated next door to the cottage.

Between the driveway and the patio area there is a 20mm “lip”. Between the patio and the front door, there is a 150mm step. The front door is 80 cm wide.
The Patio and front door are well lit with sensor lights.
Once in the cottage, all accommodation is on one level. The flooring throughout is oak.
Internal doors are 80 cm wide.
The bathroom has an easy access mains shower cubicle. The taps on the sink have lever handles.
The kitchen is open plan. The oven is built into the base units. The taps on the kitchen sink have lever handles and are easy to operate.
All bedding is non-allergic (non feather).

The Dovecot has a flat, paved terrace.

The Roost has a car park that has a slight incline, approximately 1 in 20. The carpark surface is compressed, fine aggregate with gravel topping.
The Barn gate is six metres for the nearest parking space. From the car park is a gateway with a 8cm “lip”.
The width of the gate is 92cm.
The path has a loose gravel surface.

There is a 14cm deep step from the path onto the veranda.
There is a 9cm “lip” on the barn door.
There is oak flooring through out the barn.
Width of Single patio door is 85cm. When double doors open it is 1.7 metres wide. The living area of the barn is open plan.
There are two 14 cm steps up to the raised living room area. There is a 14cm step up from the hall area into the cinema room
The top of the mattress is 59cm from the floor.
The kitchen sink taps are traditional basin taps.
The width of the bathroom door is 63cm
The bathroom floor is tiled.
The bathroom sink tap is lever operated.
It is 63cm deep from the top of the soak tub to the soak tub seat.
All door handles are lever operated.
All bedding is hypo non allergic.

The barn is set in an undulating, grass garden. It is slightly sloped. There is a flat deck area covered by a gazebo.
